富士山を背景に朱赤に染まった空に滲む大蛇雲

雲海の彼方、天上界の須弥山の様に朧げにそびえ立つ富士山と共に朱赤に染まった光景の中、巨大な帯状の大蛇の雲が忽然と姿を現した。
この写真は平成十七年（２００５）の蛇年を境に人気を博す。

Beyond the sea of clouds, Mt. Fuji loomed faintly like the mythical Mount Sumeru of the heavenly realm, surrounded by a landscape bathed in crimson red.
In that surreal scene, a massive, serpentine cloud suddenly appeared - its form like that of a great celestial serpent.

This photograph, taken in the Year of the Snake (2005), has gained popularity ever since.
