天空に舞う鳳凰
宇治平等院鳳凰堂を撮影し、京都のホテルに宿泊した翌早朝、朝焼けの赤い陰影に染まった部屋で何かに呼び起こされる様に目覚めた。
何気無く窓の外を見ると、大きな羽を広げようとしている紫赤の鳳凰の姿をした雲が、平等院の方角に向かい飛翔していた。
 
《Soaring Phoenix in the Heavens》- Miraculous Cloud -
After photographing the Phoenix Hall of Byodoin Temple in Uji, I stayed overnight at a hotel in Kyoto.
In the early hours of the next morning, as the room was bathed in the crimson shadows of dawn, I awoke as if summoned by something unseen.
When I glanced casually out the window, I saw a cloud in the shape of a majestic phoenix—its great wings outstretched—soaring in the direction of Byodoin, painted in hues of deep violet and red.
